Default Spirit Control

Hello, I have alot of fun with my ritualist, but one thing bothers me. and it's about spirits. When pain/bloodsong/vamparism etc... dies, I do not see it happen sometimes. Sometimes you hear the sound of a dying spirit. then i'm holding tab to check spirits. and 50% of the time I see none of my spirits died(i'm using a hero atm with spirits). now i'm wondering. Wouldn't it be easyer to have a spirit control box? just like necros have a minion control box. so u can easily see how much spirits you control. and when you notice you control 3 out of the 4 spirits. Then you tab and check what u have to recast. I would like to hear your opinions about this.
Notice, that some spirits have individual boxes, shelter/union for example. those should stay as they are a buff for the whole party.

This would be a good suggestion but until spirits are able to decently survive, not having a box seems like a sly joke about them (why count how many you have? they'll be all dead soon anyways!)

(and yes, I know about the PvE buff, but that is not the only place ritualists want to go).

i'd like to see them all have boxes similar to the nature rituals so that you can see what you are in range of.

He didn't mean a control box he meant an icon in the top left hand corner showing how many minions you are in crontrol of.

i have a Rit spirit spammer and that would be very useful as I spend more time checking my sprits than I do attacking

A better word would be Spirit Counter.

You can have now 10 spirits at the same time (not that you may want it) so, why not, instead adding icons for each of the spirits that don't have allied effects?

You make them have a different border to note they are offensive, for example, black border, and if the Icon for Anguish is not there, then you are not controlling a spirit of Anguish.

Same could be done for other offensive skills, like Wards or Wells.
If the border is black, it's an effect that you have created and it's affecting enemies.
Other summons could get separate icons too (without losing the main counter), you control an Asura summon, you have an icon with a black border in the effect monitor.

Some spirits do have that icon at the top, so why not the rest? Makes sense to me and all you'll need to do is re-use the actual skill picture. Shouldn't take too much coding, I think (though, I could be wrong).

Thats because some have an effect like damage reduction or condition reducing, and others are attack spirits.

/signed sounds usefull and i may stop recasting my spirits too early this way.

I know why there are the icons for some but not all. I was saying because it is done for all - even if not all spirits are AoE spirits - it could be done for all and wouldn't hurt doing so.

For a box for Spirit control.

AND a box for Minion quick-selection to give humans an edge against AI in minion bomber builds.

I just made a PvE Ritualist and forgot how fun they were. Are they getting a buff or something?

How about the Rit that casted the spirits gets a little box seperate from the effects monitor that shows the icons of the spirits you have active. Sort of like the maintained enchantment box for Monks.

the spirits with an icon at the top, are the spirits that have effect on the whole party. shelter and union for example.

Adding icons for all spirits would make me very happy. I think an spirit counter(just like the minion counter) would already be a great thing to have. having 6spirit icons (for example) might be to much on the screen (?)

Such a thing could be perfeclty used for all creatures.

You can only have a maximum of... let's see...

An absolute max of... 21 controlled creatures at the same time:
- Necromancer, death magic 16, 10 minions summoned with the same skill.
- Signet of spirits, and 5 other binding rituals for a total of 8 spirits.
- 1 Asura summon (or another spirit)
- 1 stone summon.
(Pets are separate since they have a control panel)

As the game is right now, tt's impossible for one single character to control more creatures than that.
So a panel for 21 slots would be more than enough.

I'm not sure you could summon all 21

you'd need 6 slots for signet of spirits and 5 other spirit summons
and 1 slot for a minion summon possibly summon bone minions
1 slot for asura summon
and a summoning stone

unless you have healing assitance to keep the minions alive and a lot of energy and corpses...

if any1 pulls it off post a screen shot i'd love to see

That's just the maximum. I'm not telling anyone would actually want to do that, but can be done, so a panel must be ready for that.

And it's not hard at all. Blood of the master affects allied minions. And there are plenty of places with lots of weak monsters you can kill quickly.

Weak Monsters=the "practice Targets" in Isle of the Nameless - use the catapult and bring the fastest recharging MM skill (Aura can summon 16+ at once).

It is possible, though not really for gameplay.

This would be harder with hero's equiped with similar spells tho ... there would be so many boxes active there is little to see of the action :/ ...

but i do agree for a player RT to see active spirits like a MM can sellect his minnions,
perhaps for a Hero PvE RT just having spirit boxes beneath interface so you can atleast see which spirits your RT hero has active.. or a click on the box (nr. spirits controlled) gives a list of spirits just for the player has spirits up, be it himself or through a hero character.

Hero v. Hero battles there should be a listbox like a normal player. or the click on icon(controll ** Spirits/Undead) gives an interface box with a list.

This click on icon is also a way to list current Undead so they no longer clutters the Team interface listing, for ppl not controlling any spirits or undead..
